Ab Donnerstagnachmittag ziehen von Südwesten einzelne schwere Gewitter auf. Diese können lokal mit heftigem Starkregen mit Mengen um 40 l/qm in einer Stunde, Sturmböen bzw. schweren Sturmböen mit Windgeschwindigkeiten zwischen 75 und 100 km/h (Bft 9-10) und Hagel mit Korngrößen um 3 cm einhergehen. Örtlich ist die Bildung einzelner Tornados nicht ausgeschlossen. In der zweiten Nachthälfte der Nacht zum Freitag nimmt die Unwettergefahr von Westen her langsam ab.
Dies ist ein Hinweis auf eine Wetterlage mit hohem Unwetterpotential. Er soll die rechtzeitige Vorbereitung von Schutzmaßnahmen ermöglichen. Gewitter mit den genannten Begleiterscheinungen treten typischerweise sehr lokal auf und treffen mit voller Intensität meist nur wenige Orte.
